In line with Westin Groups policy of training apprentices and young people to fill key roles in the business, we have recently employed Charlie Miquel as a Trainee Internal Sales Engineer. Charlie, who left school 3 years ago, spent some time travelling around Europe before returning to look for a career which he thought would suit him.

Before being offered the job, he spent a week’s work experience in the Westin Groups engineering businesses. Here, it became apparent that Charlie was extremely keen to learn, very enthusiastic and asked all of the right questions.

He is spending his first 6 months learning to work the operating systems in the business and also the actual physical job of inspecting, checking, packing and despatching orders. Following this, we will agree a plan for him to actually take control of some of the sales order processing and customer liaison functions.

We are looking forward to seeing Charlie develop to into a valued member of the US Marine US Marine and Industrial Pump Repair team as we look to grow the business over the coming years.
