We were recently contacted by one of the UK’s largest canal operators to repair the internal parts of a 12 stage pump. The worn internal parts have certainly seen better days.

The internal parts have now been delivered to us. The work will involve examining and reporting on the condition of each part and proposing what work needs to be done to get them back to operating condition.

We will use the drawings we have to identify whether any machining work is necessary and will almost certainly have to apply a special coating to protect the parts from the harsh operating conditions in which they work.

There will no doubt be a requirement for new bushings and bearings. Additionally, we will have to manufacture a brand new shaft of around 1.5m in length.

This is typical of the sort of work which we can handle because of the data, drawings and experience we have built up over almost 50 years in the pump repair and supply business.
