A major sugar processing business and long-standing customer of ours recently asked us to supply a very specialised impeller/propeller for one of their sites.

To get the job done right, the work involved making a mould, producing a casting from the mould and then precision machining the blades to a very tight tolerance on a vertical milling machine.

The final step was to coat it with a specialist paint to protect it from erosion. It’s safe to say that the customer was delighted with the outcome.
